MAGPIES in the backyard were squawking like crazy around a
poor skunk whose head was stuck in an empty milkshake container (perhaps
calling for help, broadcasting a possible feast, or just getting excited over a
soon-to-die skunk that could be their next meal?). I put on my shoes quick,
though unsure how I could help without getting sprayed. Once I was out the yard
and into the back street, it had exited the backyard through the gap in the
fence, turned at the corner and vanished. My head was filled with what ifs but
above all, I prayed for more responsible waste disposal. MLJ08052022GarbageAndNature
