Have you ever heard the most straightforward responses from a police officer during a cross-examination?
Does it appear that she has an injury?
No.
Why not?
Because I don't see any injury.
Do you have a recollection...?
No.
Why not?
It's been five years.
Do you recognize an injury?
No. I see pink cheeks and pink eyes consistent with crying.
What did you determine this call was after this investigation?
A dispute. A verbal dispute. It's not a crime. It's not against the law to argue. I argue with my wife all the time.
PS: The defense lawyer finally reminded this police officer about his duties and responsibilities. She wasn't amused.
