I come and go like a soft whisper in your ear
or the brush of a daffodil against your cheek.
I come and go like the gentle flapping wings
of a northern cardinal that sings.
I come and go like a playful sprite that hides
between the clothes on your clothesline.
I come and go with enough strength
to shave a gray dandelion's head
and scatter its seeds on unknown fields.
Just like the wind...
And if I leave some warm mist,
remember that I come and go with tears.
Thank you for feeling me though I come and go...
just like the wind.
