It's love month once again
and I wish I had Robert Burns' "red, red rose"
for you all.
But there's none that I could afford
as it's recession now, you know.So here's a peace lily instead
which I've kept alive since winter started.
It might not have the color of your sensuous beauty
but it has that of Heaven's pearly gates
which we all could one day see.
