on a window pane
that needs cleaning
you're glued like a fan
in a maiden's hand,
as she hides a sheepish smile
and looks down
when an amorous gentleman
comes beckoning for a dance.
but hand fans are in antique shops now
and girls are no virgin at twelve
can't even wait for prom night
to get laid.
oh, well. i guess it's just about time
to make this window pane shine.
