LEARNING FROM HOME?

1.       Sit up straight for good posture.

2.       Use a standing table and move your legs now and then.

3.       Take brief breaks (body movements, bathroom, water…) every 20 min. or so.

4.       Look away from the screen once in a while. Look at something green indoors or look out the window.

5.       Turn off the screen or cover with black paper/cloth when briefly switching to paper/pencil work and using the same study table. Better yet, work on the floor or another ideal spot in the house.

6.       If online for more than three hours, ask for a break (walk, dance, move…). (Teachers are encouraged to provide non-tech or low-tech activities. Examples: experimenting in the kitchen, singing/dancing with a division song, conducting phone interviews/surveys, etc.)

7.       After online sessions, do non-tech activities (games, sports, music, art/craft, food prep, etc.); anything that looks extra-curricular.

8.       Strictly follow your schedule (early bed/waking time, meals) and make it similar to your school’s schedule where there’s a variety of activities (at a table, on the carpet, indoor, outdoor, fine/gross motor, etc.).

9.       Have meals with your family (not at the computer or in front of the TV), pray together and stick together at this time of COVID 19.

10.   Be grateful for the gift of technology and education, and pray for other children who can not learn from home.

11.   Enjoy learning each day!
