THANKS to my favourite librarian for 13 years:
Me: Hi there. My holds aren't ready yet, but could I please pick up maybe five paperbacks, about 300 pages each?
L: Certainly. Which genre do you have in mind?
Me: Anything will do. Thank you.
L: All right. Just give me a few minutes and I'll be out there.
Me: Thanks again.
She gave me five titles I would've picked from the display myself if not for the curbside-pickup-only state of things, on and off for 13 months of pandemic now. Hence, for two curl-up-with-a-good-book snowy weekends, I've been to Ireland, Scotland, England and New Caledonia. Come read along and we'll travel.
