The Philippines' "new normal" in education has posed unparalleled challenges to all, from administrators and teachers to students and parents. Teachers continue to work like superheroes responding to their students' needs 24/7, but they need everyone's support and self-care, above all. Parents are struggling now more than ever to help their children complete their modules, short of doing the assignments themselves (and surely suffering embarrassment if they get a failing mark) just to get them over with and put an end to the daily parent-child battle. This is indeed a time to come together as a community and extend our patience, understanding and support for one another for the sake of all children. I challenge the private sector like telecommunication companies, etc. to extend their support for all schools and remote communities. I challenge government officials to do their job and see to it that every child in the country is learning and growing any way possible. I pray for unity and cooperation for the children's sake. - MLJ/23/10/2020/IntheyearofCOVID19 -
