Lina Jamison: Captivating California

Palm Springs. Too hot in July, but thankful for the mist sprays outdoors to help cool everything and everyone.

Hummingbirds at Palm Desert Zoo & Gardens. With their long and sword-like beaks, flying at an average speed of about 30 mph, I had to duck and save my skin.

James Dean bust at Griffith Conservatory. Why so? Because it was the film location of his "Rebel Without a Cause". Wish it had eyes though.

Monterey
